Ottamani auringonpimennysvalokuva kiinnostaa yhä maailmalla. Michele Zanin, tutkija FBK-organisaatiossa Italiassa, otti yhteyttä käyttääkseen valokuvaani esimerkkinä Marmota-projektissa, jonka tavoite on tunnistaa automaattisesti vuorenhuiput valokuvista. He julkaisevat joka päivä yhden vuoristovalokuvan blogissaan [suora linkki kuvaani tässä].

My eclipse photo still interests people. Michele Zanin, a researcher at FBK, Italy, contacted me to use the photo as an example in the Marmota project, whose goal is automatic recognition of mountains. They publish one mountain photo every day in their blog [direct link to my photo here].

my eclipse photo

Kiinnostava ja haasteellinen projekti. Olen yllättynyt kuinka kaukana vuoret ovat. Tähän asti luulin, että vuoret olisivat aivan Lago Argentinon takana 35-45 km päässä. PS. Yhtä vuorenhuippua heidän tietokantansa ei tunne = Janne Pyykön pipoa.

An interesting and challenging project indeed. I'm astonished how far the mountains are. Up until now I supposed that the mountain tops are just in the other side of the Lago Argentino, 35-45 km from me. PS. At least one mountain top remains unrecognized in their database system, that is, my hat.
